Compare fragrance formats using two numbers: what you pay for the purchase and what you pay per milliliter. The smaller purchase can cost less in total while costing more per milliliter.
Essentia's small sprays and 10ml travel formats are independently rebottled. A listed full bottle has its own volume and packaging. Keep these format differences visible when comparing the arithmetic.
Use the same comparison basis
Item cost per milliliter = current item price ÷ stated volume in milliliters.
Compare the exact fragrance and concentration in the same currency. Check the selected variant rather than assume every full bottle is 100ml. Different packaging can be valuable for different purposes, even when the scent name matches.
If you want to include shipping or tax, calculate a second figure using the amount attributable to that item. Avoid comparing one price before those charges with another after them. For a shared order, use a clearly stated allocation rather than assign the entire shipping charge to every item.

Read a hypothetical example

In this example, the 100ml purchase has the lowest item cost per milliliter. It also requires the largest purchase. The 2ml option requires the least spending on the item. Neither number tells you which scent you will enjoy, which packaging you prefer, or whether you want 100ml.
If the hypothetical 10ml item has $6 in assigned shipping and tax, its attributed purchase becomes $36 and its cost becomes $3.60 per milliliter. Use your actual checkout figures for a real comparison.
Choose value around how you will use it
A smaller format may be a sensible first purchase when you do not yet know the fragrance. A larger option may suit a scent you already wear regularly. Portability, the amount you want, packaging and total spending belong in the decision alongside the unit price.
Do not calculate a guaranteed price per wear from an unmeasured spray count. Dividing a price by volume is transparent arithmetic. Converting that volume into a fixed number of sprays requires evidence about the actual atomizer and use.
Compare actual listings
